Join us on this amazing hike as we explore and experience the awesome beauty of Bali’s most beautiful and active volcano, Mt. Batur 1717 m high.
In the coolness of the night, using bright torch lights, you follow a natural trail of extinct lava up to the crater [between 1,5–2 hrs.], where you await the sunrise.
At dawn, breath-taking morning view, over looking of lake Batur and it’s entire volcano world.
Picnic breakfast with sandwiches and hot coffee or tea at the crater.
We pick you up shortly after midnight/ 1:30 am. and you will be back at your hotel right in time for lunch.
DETAILED ITINERARY
Pick up time at your hotel lobby short after midnight, between 1:00 am. – 2:00 am.

Depending on hotel location. 1,5 hrs. air conditioned transfer to the hiking starting point on the foot of Mt. Batur. After brief information about your hike and safety en route, your tour guide will distribute small back packs includes torch light, 2x 500ml mineral water/ person, gloves and rain poncho/ during the rainy season. The gloves we suggest to wear during your entire stay at Mt. Batur. The gloves should protect your hands from scratches if you grab and hold on sharp, extinct lava stones.
If you feel cold, wear your rain poncho. The rain poncho protects you from rain and wind. Follow the natural trails of extinct lava ( no stairs), up to the crater to await the sunrise. Depending on your physical condition, the ascent takes about 2 hours. The descent less. Take your time and walk your speed. Don’t push your self to adopt other participants hiking speed. Tell your tour leader if the hike is to difficult or the walking speed is to fast. Enjoy breath-taking birds eye view at the young daybreak and some snacks with hot Bali Mountain Coffee, at the crater. Do not leave the trail and don’t leave the group. Always follow the instruction of your tour scout.
If you need any help or assistance in what ever, please tell your tour scout. Don’t forget to bring an extra T-shirt, to change up on the crater. Maybe extra clothes and sandals for your return transfer. Chilled drinks and refreshing face towels awaits you at the transfer car (mineral water and soft drinks). Transfer back to your hotel app. 1,5 hrs. Back at your hotel at about 1:00 pm. |
