| DETAILED I T I N E R A R Y |
The duration of this full day tour is app. 8 hours. The program is able to be escorted either by an English or German speaking tour leader. Pick up from the hotel, app. between 7:30 am – 8:00 am., depending on hotel location. App. 90 min. drive to the starting point of the rainforest trekking, on the foot of Mt. Batukaru. After a brief information about safety and your trekking, your trekking guide will distribute small back packs with mineral water, rain poncho and gloves/ hand protection.
The trekking on natural trails is about 2,5 hours passing through plantations of coffee, cocoa and the dense rainforest. Tropical plants like wild orchids, giant tree ferns, strangling ficus trees , rattan, you may see and learn about, during your trekking. Please be careful, watch out your trail and don’t touch anything you are not familiar with. Parts of the trail will be slippery. More slippery when wet. Should you have any difficulties to manage your walk, just ask your trekking guide for assistance.
Trekking sticks are for free. Please be more careful, during rainy season/ more slippery. Don’t forget to bring extra clothes and sandals for your transfer back to the hotel. At the finish point you have the possibility to clean up before proceed to a nearby restaurant for a delicious lunch. Drinks during lunch is on own account. On you’re way back to your hotel, enjoy driving through spectacular scenery of terraced rice fields. Arrival back at your hotel app. 4:00 pm.
