Volcano Hiking Mt. Rinjani
3 Days/ 2 Nights
Day 1 - Sembalun Valley
Shortly after sunrise depart for todays 10 hrs. trekking, through wide, open savanna area and forested slopes, up to Plawangan 2, the crater rim at 2500m above sea level.
Day 2 - Sunrise from the summit of 3726m
We depart at 2:00 am. to reach the summit of Mt. Rinjani. Don’t leave the small trail and turn on your torch light at all time.
Day 3 - Up to Plawangan I crater rim
Depart for a nice morning hiking through casuarinas forest and follow a small natural trail up
the crater wall.

What to wear:
Proper hiking boots, socks, shorts, long trousers for the night, jacket, windbreaker, rain jacket, sunglasses, hat...
What to bring:
Strong headlamps with spare batteries, hiking stick, sun lotion, dry and wet tissue (toilet in the nature), private medical aid, camera with spare batteries, personal alcoholic drinks, your favorite biscuit or sweets, small day
back pack which you carry your own, a bigger back pack or weather proof bag for your other belongings which will be carried by the porters...

Be prepared for some serious physical activity. The majority of activities included on this trip
will be challenging. The fitter you are, the more you will enjoy your holiday.
